Behavior Modification Program

Did you feel like you had it all under control after Puppy Training or Obedience Training, but suddenly your dog developed concerning behavior issues seemingly out of nowhere? Many owners experience challenges over the years of dog ownership and behavior concerns can arise unexpectedly - no matter how much training you did with your young puppy or adolescent dog. If this is you, don't fret. We are committed to supporting our clients through thick and thin... and it's never too late to transform your dog's behavior for the better! 

This program is designed for dogs who have graduated from Puppy or Obedience training with us in the past and are now displaying any of the following behavior patterns:    

Fear: ​The dog who cowers, hides, or runs away from something or someone ​

Anxiety: The generally nervous dog. ​Dogs with separation anxiety. 

Destruction: ​The dog that is over 6 months of age and continues to chew, eat, or tear up household items other than his/her toys and bones. 

Aggression: ​The dog that barks/growls at, lunges at, or bites/nips humans. Dogs that have recurring and concerning conflict with dogs that reside within the same household (inner-household aggression) .

Resource Guarding: ​The dog that guards things that he/she perceives as valuable by growling, snarling, snapping, or biting. Resources might include food, bones, toys, attention/humans, or places in the home (couch, bed, kitchen, etc.) 

House Soiling: ​Any dog over 6 months of age that urinates or defecates inside the home. 

Excessive Vocal Behavior: ​​The dog that barks repeatedly out windows when triggered by a visual stimulus; barks indoors or outdoors when dog hears 'something'; barks along fence line in backyard. ​

Escaping from the Home or Yard: The dog that darts out the front door, jumps fences, or digs out of the backyard.

Leash Reactivity: ​The dog that barks and lunges at people, other dogs, bikes, cars, etc. while on a leash (but is otherwise friendly with people and dogs off-leash).

Behavior Modification sessions are offered in packages of five, seven, or ten private, one-hour sessions that take place in your home and/or neighborhood. These sessions are spaced one or two weeks apart.
