Jenn Fantasia is set apart in the dog training industry with over 20 years of experience in animals care, behavior, and training through renowned organizations like the Denver Zoo, the Downtown Aquarium, and the Humane Society of Colorado. She also has an impressive education that fuels her expertise, including a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a Master's degree in Biology with an emphasis in canine cognitive development and the human-animal bond.

The earlier, the better - many new puppy owners schedule their first session before their puppy even comes home. If/when possible, we suggest starting no later than 8-10 weeks of age. If your puppy is older than that, then today is the day to enroll in training!

Early sessions proactively focus on building confidence (for both you and your puppy), teaching good habits, preventing unwanted behaviors, and helping your puppy learn how to navigate the world safely and politely.  

Your new puppy has a long life ahead, hopefully 12-15 years, and early training will prevent common behavior problems from becoming chronic habits, making life with your puppy more enjoyable for years to come! 

We use reward-based, positive reinforcement training that focuses on teaching your puppy what to do rather than punishing mistakes. Our goal is to help you establish a great relationship with your puppy right from the start while laying foundations for clear, effective communication. We are committed to making learning enjoyable for both you and your puppy!

During each session, your puppy will learn new cues and your most pressing questions will be answered. Between sessions, you'll be expected to practice with your puppy daily for about 10 minutes at a time, and implement all the changes we recommend.  

We want you to feel confident practicing on your own between every session, so you're always welcome to reach out via phone or email if you have questions or need clarification prior to our next appointment.

Most of the training we'll do will fit naturally into everyday life—during meals, walks, playtime, or short breaks throughout the day. Consistency is more important than long training sessions, and I'll help you create a plan that works with your routine. 

That said, if you are really busy and prefer a trainer to do the bulk of the work, consider our Board & Train Program!
